What procurement teams usually start with
Most properties open with white percale or sateen sheet programs, then match duvet covers and pillowcases to the same weave. If you already have a brand standard (thread count, finish, package), paste it into the RFQ notes — we quote against that, not a generic SKU list.
Specs that actually move the quote
Thread count alone is a weak filter. Call out fiber (cotton, polycotton, bamboo blend), weave, whitening method, and whether you need fitted vs flat. For pillows, density and fill type matter more than the product photo. Protectors need a clear waterproof vs quilted choice before MOQ talks get serious.
OEM and multi-property programs
Logo embroidery, custom carton labels, and matched SKUs across sister properties are normal asks. Lead times stretch when embroidery art is new — send a vector file early if you want samples with the first quote.
